I have a confession. I am an addict. My addiction is unconventional, untreatable and developed quickly over the past month and half. What is the source of my addiction you may ask? ClassPass.

Before ClassPass, I was starting to develop an exercise funk and I needed something to get me motivated.

I had always considered myself a very active person. From a mere babe, I was involved in some sort of organized extra curricular activity, such as hula dancing, soccer, and softball. As an adolescent, you pretty much follow the flock and do whatever your friends do, which for me was swim team, dance team and water polo. In college, things aren’t so easy. With the freshman 15 creeping in, it takes more effort to be active. I vaguely remember passing out fliers to get free yoga classes at this overpriced studio in Orange County. I took a Salsa dancing class and a low impact aerobics class for course credits at University. Guess which one I sprained my ankle in? If you guessed the one typically scaled for geriatric older ladies then you are correct! Post college and into my early adulthood, I worked as a tour guide traveling around the country and where a consistent schedule was nearly impossible to pin down let alone finding the time to workout. Oh had I wished ClassPass existed during this time in my life.

Fast forward to just a few months ago and I found myself moving across the world to live in Perth, Australia. I’ve found Perthians to be particularly active. It seemed to be that everyone was involved in some sport or riding their bike to work. I decided it was time for me to get back to that active lifestyle I had so easily fallen out of. After seeing an add on Facebook, I decided to give it try and the rest is history. I’ve become obsessed.

For those of you mere naive souls wallowing in blissful ignorance, I am about to introduce you to the wonderful world of ClassPass. Simply put, it’s a workout app that allows you to have access to hundreds of different classes at multiple studios over 39 cities across the globe. I joined ClassPass 7 weeks ago and have taken over 45 classes different types of classes.
